Why rent? It’s a great way to try a new activity, get set for vacation adventure, or entertain guests. Shepherd & Schaller’s rental equipment is from the name brands you know and love, and a portion of your rental dollars will be returned when you decide to make a purchase.*
Clubs, organizations and large groups are encouraged to contact us ahead of time by completing our Rental Form. Use the form only if you are making plans at least 48 hours in advance. You will still need to speak with us by phone to finalize the reservation. Sending the form does not guarantee availability.
Holiday Weekends (Christmas, New Year’s, President’s Day) are high-traffic rental occasions. Our rental inventory is distributed as available and pre-paid. Regrettably, we cannot satisfy all requests. Prepaid reservations will not be refunded, as the reserved items will be set aside for you and therefore unavailable to other customers. Do not reserve/pre-pay if you are unsure of your plans.

The fine print:
Bring a valid credit card (Mastercard or Visa). One rental day/night will be charged for each calendar day the item is out. Pre-payment is required. Rented items are due by noon the next day. Late returns will be charged an additional rental day. Refunds are not issued due to inclement weather, ski area conditions or other circumstances not in Shepherd & Schaller’s control.
Rental documents must be signed by an adult (18+ years, parent or guardian) and are subject to equipment availability. Youth-size equipment is available in limited quantities.
Downhill ski bindings are adjusted to individual specifications. The process takes about ten minutes. Allow time for groups.
Directions for the proper use of rented equipment will be given. Rental documents require a signature acknowledging release of liability.
*Purchase similar equipment from the same category within three months of rental purchase and we’ll issue Rental Credit at 50% of the rental fees you’ve paid. Bring your rental receipt(s) and see a manager to receive this special offer.
