Snowboard

Shep’s snowboard department speaks your language whether you’re core to the core, into “shredding the gnar”, a soul rider, or looking to hit the slopes for the first time.  We understand all aspects of the sport and it’s culture and we value all athletes and their goals.  And while we speak the language, you don’t have to.  Enthusiastic service and the technical expertise that experts demand and beginners deserve is available here regardless of where you ride or how much you have to spend. We test every board we stock before it hits the market to know how each one rides, so we can help you choose the rocker, camber or flat board you came for.  Come in and brag about the kinked jib you just hit, share video of your sickest session or bring the family to learn how it’s done. You’ll be treated with respect and leave with gear that fits your style, your goals, and your budget.

Snowboard Boots

Our selection of snowboard boots will get you on your way to designing the perfect snowboard package. Tell us how you ride (freestyle, freeride, jibbing/rail riding) and we’ll help you determine how much flexibility and stiffness you need. Because we offer boots from the best designers in the industry (K2, Burton, Rossignol, Lamar, Ltd) you’ll have more than enough features to choose from. Even though all snowboard boots are warm and stylish, fit and performance are the most critical elements you should consider. If needed, Shep’s can provide custom footbeds to guarantee stability and comfort.

Snowboard Bindings

Selecting a binding to compliment your boot is critical, so choose your boots first.  Soft boots with strap-on bindings are by far the most common setup.  Fitting your boots and sizing your snowboard properly are wasted steps if you don’t pay attention to the features and benefits of your binding so don’t skimp here.  Everything works together and the right combination will help you ride better, keep you comfortable and will affect the quality of your session.  A properly fitted binding ensures that boot and binding operate efficiently with your snowboard and will increase durability. Tell us your stance width, angle and center and we’ll mount them to your specifications. Don’t know these details? We’ll help you figure it out.

Snowboard

Burton, K2, Rossignol, M3 and more

Do you ride Slopestyle or Boarder Cross, Get Big Air, hit the Half Pipe or Rails?  Are you jibbing at Granite Peak, out West, or hitting dry slope? Is it rocker or camber that will float your boat?  Shepherd & Schaller stocks a vast selection of all-mountain boards, as well as great choices for Freeriders and Freestylers from K2, Burton, Lamar, M3, and Rossignol.  Tell us your goals and we’ll help you reach them with a snowboard designed for the kind of riding you aspire to, whether you’re a recreational rider who wants a soft-flexing affordable board you’ll be able to grow out of, an experienced rider who craves versatile high performance gear, or an expert who needs an extra-stiff board with lots of pop for high-speed stability.

We’ll factor in your obvious characteristics like gender and experience, then fine tune your fit based on a number of features like length, width, flex, sidecut, effective edge, and board materials. Don’t worry if you don’t know how these features will affect your snowboarding experience. We do, and we’ll teach you.

And yes, we have used snowboard gear too.  Check out our Dungeon Sale blog to see how to sell your old gear and get store credit.
